Bio

Dr. Hurlburt has published two books and several articles on women in the political sphere of Early Modern Venice and the Mediterranean. Prior to her arrival at NC State, Dr. Hurlburt was Professor of History, Director of the Chancellor’s Scholars Program, and Interim History Department Chair at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. In University College, she oversees and coordinates the University Fellowships Office, the First Year Inquiry Program, the Office of Undergraduate Research, and the University Honors and University Scholars Programs.
